empty beach

Certainly in the summer this is an empty beach, slightly scruffy foreshore but the water is lovely and the walk along a white sand beach is great.

We drove in and visited the cave. Good story for the kids, it really opened their imagination, but then they wanted to stay and look for treasure. Not far from the regatta village area.

We sailed here from Bimini. It is a good stopping point. We anchored across from the government wall in good holding. Going to shore we found no one around. Found out later that everyone was attending a funeral. There is a bar, a small gas station and that is it. The regatta structures are still here ready to go for... More

We drove here from the south side of the island. It was a long hard drive, but the view was worth it! It is very rugged - rough surf, but it gave you a feel of the challenges of this area of the island.

We visited by boat and stayed tied off to the concrete government dock for one evening. The area has fuel, a local pub/restaurant, super friendly locals and a tour guide by the name of Christopehr Curry. Chris took our group to several local sights including Captain Morgan's cave and a resort in Nichols Town. Chris spoke of great diving, offshore... More

Morgan's Bluff named after Captain (pirate) Morgan who lured ships to the northern tip of Andros with a light, only to have them get shipwrecked on reefs so he and his men could rob them, is a beautiful look out point. Close to this jagged cliff is a beautiful nearly private beach with great snorkeling.

This is definitely a worthwhile visit to check out the view from the bluff and visit the surrounding forest filled with gumbo limbo trees and hermit crabs, plus a few bats in the cave too.

Morgan's Bluff is a quick stop, but a great place to take pictures, especially group pictures. It is the highest point on Andros Island and has a great story behind it. You can easily check out this lookout in 15 minutes, or stay longer - it is a great picnic location!

Morgans Bluff is where they have the famous Regatta and the booths for this remain up all year. This is a place where the locals take their kids to swim. The beach is white and the waters calm. There is a boat that is washed up on the shore that looks like it has been there for awhile. They have... More
