This was a really cool site, built by hand by a hermit/monk. The stone work was interesting and the views of the surrounding country side and ocean were good.

Father Jerome was the "hermit" who built this mini-monestary and a few other churches on the island. He must have had a really interesting story. There's no one "running" this site so we just pulled up in the car with our dog and started walking....More

The Climb up Como Hill was awesome and the view spectacular! The detail on the building was a master piece.

We went in July 2016. There was no one there but us. Steep climb. A bird followed us up and down the climb, squawking incessantly. Almost as if the bird was saying we were not welcome. Weird spiritually, but logically I think we were close...More

We didn't find the hike quite as easy as other reviewers - perhaps because we were wearing very flimsy flip flops after reading about how easy the hike was? :-) The structure itself is just fascinating to explore. There's Latin engravings in the hallway between...More

A must go see. This is the highest point in cat island and all of the bahamas. Plus you see all kinds of birds and wildlife.

The short trek up the hill to The Heritage can be somewhat daunting but the view at the top is breathtaking. The drawback or con is that it is not accessible for the elderly or someone who is in a wheelchair.

It may be the only country where anyone (almost) can climb to the highest peak. Great views from here and an interesting building.
