Epic little snorkel ride - doable on your own, but best with a guide!

Pretty much a MUST DO if anywhere less than an hour away from Current. Girlfriend and I headed up to Current with another couple we had met on the island. First off - CHECK... read more

Pretty much a MUST DO if anywhere less than an hour away from Current. Girlfriend and I headed up to Current with another couple we had met on the island. First off - CHECK THE TIDES, it's a little confusing since the tides are somewhat opposite on each side of the island - YOU WANT TO DO THIS ON AN... More

This is an adventure! We called Foster Neilly, who we found on trip advisor reviews, and he took us twice to snorkel the cut. We saw so many fish, turtles, sting rays and eagle rays. It was incredible. Foster was spear fishing when he took us both times. He will spear you dinner. He had insight on the tides that... More

Be respectful of the current as a visitor didn't return recently from a kayak adventure. The current is strong and many don't expect that. It is great near sunset.

The Current Cut is a place where the tide runs up and down during the changes of the water and things move very fast. You can snorkel or dive here and being carried by the currents very fast. Beautiful and a bit scary, but well worth it if you are brave. So many fabulous fish and other marine life.

wicked current. try to visit mid tide. It rips through there and deep. 'Seen some big fish crusing through too! We fished the other side from sure and caught a variety of species. Seen an octopus along the shoreline. The ferry lands here and that is unique to watch as well. Beautiful community who clearly care for their village. Hurricanes... More

This was one of the highlights of our family's trip to Eleuthera earlier this month. There are plenty of outfitters that will talk you into hiring a boat, but we simply drove towards the end of the road, found a private sandy cove to set up camp for the day and floated from there a few times. You need to... More

7/22/15 WED Lil Shan's Boat Rental out of Valentine's Marina, 6 of us to Snorkel, Captain Luther & 1st Mate Willard, took us ~30 min. boat ride to Current Cut & snorkeled 4 times. They dropped us at top, we drifted down, picked us up & took us to top again. Saw no sharks, rays or turtles :( but that's... More

Travel down to the tip of Current if you want to explore a bit. Current is on Eleuthera's mainland, maybe the "oldest settlement on the island" and is not a tourist area.

An exciting, exhilarating ride for snorkelers. The water is cool, refreshing, and it feels like you're flying through the water. You can drop out of the water at any point by changing your direction. Check the tides before going. Remember, the hike up to the starting point where you've parked your car at the beginning is about 15 minutes. One... More

We came to Eleuthera for a family trip. Rented a house through VRBO and stayed right in Current. Of all the places we went to on the island we loved Current the best. Great little town. Quiet yet everyone knows everyone. Couldn't ask for friendlier people. Amazing sunsets and the beaches were sandy and the water was so calm. Snorkeled... More
