Bring a flashlight into this hole so you can fully appreciate what you see when you get down there. Saw a few bats flying around and noticed a bees nest near the entrance, but they didn't bother us.

Lots of trash and graffiti - you DEFINITELY need a flashlight. We saw a little bat, but didn't feel comfortable exploring more without a hefty flashlight.

Wow what a cool cave. It has a lot of formations you don't see in your normal limestone caves since it was likely underwater at some point. We went a ways back and the graffiti tapered off but there is a lot of graffiti in...More

I loved Hatchet Bay Cave, and we didn't go as far into it as I would have liked. We weren't prepared for the water so we turned back at that point (some of our group of five were already wanting to bail). Flashlights are a...More

The hatchet bay caves are cool, both in the temperature and in the adventure sense! There is no one supervising so you should be careful heading down there. Also, there's a little wire you should be conscious of that helps you find your way. It's...More

It was a little hard to find AND they clearly do not have anyone to take care of this place. Everything was overgrown. I was really psyched to go. Dressed for the occasion, flashlight in hand. Too bad I didn't bring a machete. Unfortunately, I...More
