Fasinating history...

A bit of the beaten path and not well signed, it's best to use GPS to find it. However, once there the history of the earliest settlers of Eleuthera is incredible.

The majority of reviews have it right. The cave is grand but none too deep. In fact you can run the whole thing over in a minute. A place of historical significance though and true the path leading the other way leads to a great little beach. A place to go to enjoy some tranquil time.

This was an awesome cave to check out with some cool history. We followed a long path where we could hear water and it was a cool beach with a great view.

This is an awesome cave to take kids to. It is difficult to find though. You must look carefully for the tiny sign on the side of the road, and then drive through a field. The beach and water are great and you most likely will have the place to yourselves.

Really interesting spot but hard to find. I wouldn't make a special trip to see it, but worth a side trip if you're visiting Spanish Wells or Harbor Island. Turn right at the end of Queen's Highway, then stay left. The best part of Preacher's Cave is the isolated beach down the path directly across from the cave.

This is the cave where the first English settlers in the Bahamas seeked refuge after getting shipwrecked at the Devil's Backbone reef. The cave itself is not too exciting, but it is a must-see when visiting the north part of the island. One can take a few nice photos walking around it. Just beside the cave there is Tay Bay... More

This is a nice detour if you have some extra free time. Not something that I would go out of my way to see. Interesting information about the history of Eleuthera and also a lovely beach.

Very cool to see and learn about the history of this cave. It was more my speed as Hachet cave was a bit much for me! Also great little path to the beach as well.

Beautiful to look at, great to go inside and do a little exploring. Well kept and clean. Areas to sit down and educational plaques to teach the history of this site.

I wouldn't make a special long trip, but it is interesting. It can be hard to see the rock indication where to turn as the paint is faded. The beach is beautiful there.
