Lighthouse Beach is a must see. It is not an easy drive to get there as you will be traversing a dirt road for miles that is crowded with vegetation and in a lot of places it is slow going but you will be richly rewarded with a spectacular beach and view. Be sure to have a vehicle with good... More

Lighthouse Beach is on the southern tip of Eleuthera. The road is very bumpy and needs a 4WD or an ATV to travers the boulders, washouts, etc. Once you get there, the views are magnificent. The Atlantic and Caribbean converge at the southern tip of the beach. The Lighthouse is worth the visit to see how the keepers lived.

Not a TERRIBLY rough road (when dry) but 4x4 recommended. Make every attempt to get here - atlantic side - bring a hammock, lunch, water, snorkel gear and spend the entire day!

Save yourself some time and take the road by Princess Cay. You will pass Princess Cay, then take the next left. You cant miss it. We read all sorts of reviews saying the road was terrible, must have 4 wheel drive vehicle. Well, after traveling lots of different beach roads in search of beaches in the beach book I'd have... The beach is amazing, the sea is crystal clear and the sand is so soft and nice to walk on. The restaurants around the beach are nice and far enough away so that you feel as if you are alone walking on the beach. The sea itself was nice to swim in and you couldn't find any trash in it.

I read many reviews and forums about Lighthouse Beach, and made that one of the must go places during mine and my husband's trip to Eleuthera. In spite of the long rough ride, it did not disappoint! It is a perfect picture of paradise. Long lonely beach on the Atlantic side, with bluffs, cliffs, caves, and another long lonely beach... More

One of a kind beach. Beware of the rough road, need 4 x 4 vehicle with high clearance. Take the road by Princess Cay Resort the make a left of the road, then a right and you cut off lots of terrible road. Your vehicle will take a beating, it will get scratched, so be sure you do not have... More

Remote, beautiful white sand that feels like memory foam beneath your feet, aqua blue water, cool cliffs, amazing views! Bumpy long drive but worth it!

This is a very nice beach but a super bumpy ride in. We saw lots of kids the day we were there. We just took pics but did not get in the water as it looked a bit rough. Great beach for beautiful pics.

Lighthouse beach was hands-down-no-question the hardest beach to actually get to, from the condition of the road directly leading to it. Having said that, it was soooo worth it in how interesting and pretty it was! Definitely need 4wd.
