We visited today. All together our party consisted or three adults and five children from 3yrs to 12 yrs. I would advise caution with small children as a number of surprise shear drops were a bit scary. That said it's a castle ruin so not...More

I was lucky on the day I visited that there was a medieval festival taking place. The castle itself is mostly in ruins but there is a lot to see and a lot of history in place.

This ruin of a castle is large and has a lot to see. There were period tents and people in costumes when we visited so this enhanced the experience. There is a small souvenir shop at the entrance.

If you love Medieval Castle Architecture, this is a must-see. Beautiful examples of majestic castles built in the 15th century.

Not sure if trains from London to Raglan. I would think Newport your nearest main line station. Best to go on line and check, Great Western rail I think.
