This Abbey has so much history, architecture and sheer charm, it's a total wonder why such a treasure is in such a state. Cadw are currently carrying out some well needed restoration, but I can only think that if this place was in England it would be held higher and saved a lot earlier than it is today. This place... Karl took the children back into time, when the Abbey was first built, who lived there and there rolls,... More

A lovely place to visit, been so many times it has beautifully kept grounds around well preserved ruins alongside a canal...which is also a lovely place to walk and take photographs

It was beautifully planted and a peaceful place to just sit and be quiet for a few minutes. The age of the ruins seemed to enhance the quiet, even when family came to see the ruins, it still seemed peaceful

The Neath area has an incredible history and the Abbey is justly famous - as the artist impression shows - it was huge. Walking around the ruins you can still appreciate the sheer scale of it and a visit underground to... More

Always worth a look around Neath Abbey is an amazing glimpse in to the past. Over the last two hundred years it has been surrounded by heavy industry to a point that you wonder how it ever survived. Now although just on the edge of an industrial estate it is a haven of tranquility. Worth a visit if you're ever... More
