Truly amazing, some of the highest mountains in the UK. Great in the winter and late spring (not been at other times of year but probably amazing then too, but I think midges might be a problem!

After crossing Rannoch Moor, the mountains of Glencoe are seen ahead, in all their dramatic beauty. The road winds across and down into Glencoe Village at the bottom and there are numerous places to stop to just gaze or take photos. In all weathers this...More

There is nowhere in the world like this place. It truly takes your breath away. I have been coming here for over 10 years and it always bowls me over, whatever the weather. Stunning, dramatic views which go on for miles. Just awesome, in the...More

Our tour bus stopped at a couple of spots as we drove through the Glen and we all hopped out to get photos despite the rain. I think the rain added to the spectacle and lots of happy travelers as we snapped away.

Very beautiful, it struck me as quintessential Scottish...and to know that this was the site of the MacDonald clan massacre adds to the moodiness of the area, particularly on a drizzly day....

The scenery is the most stunning scenery I have witnessed and it is so untouched and pure. The roads can be busy with tourists and motorbikes but there are plenty of places to stop off and park the car to get out for a photo....More

Before I visited Glencoe, I’d watched it in movies and always thought if the place is indeed as beautiful or is it just the camera work and some clever lighting. I’d never been so wrong. This place is one of a kind and if I...More

I so wish we had stayed here! We had a gorgeous sunny day and went hiking all over the place. If I ever go back to Scotland I will stay in Glen Coe for at least two nights to fully experience it!

Fantastic road trip through this area, lots of stopping off view points. A wow round every corner. End of April and the roads were not busy and the weather generally kind.

The above is in Fort William by the way. If you are actually in the Glencoe area itself, then try the walkers bar at the Clachaig Inn.
