By far, the most beautiful scenic drive I have ever experienced. With the fog flowing into the valley in between the mountains on both sides of the road, the drive was very calm and meditational.

Highlands with rain - the full history of English masacarism, included. Hike - it is not high, avoid the mud. Finish at Oban. Scotalnd finest so accessible (maybe too easy) so beautiful.

I'd forget Glasgow and drive on to the Highlands. You might want to consider the isle of mull as well, as it was much beautiful than I imagined. In fact, I preferred the isle of mull to the isle of skye. 16 days is plenty... More
