    Finally.. a way to visit Laos from Isaan - nice day trip feom Nakhon Phanom

    Take the time and go out to the Friendship bridge and get your selfie taken there. A good tip, under the bridge there are vendors that sell food, fruits etc. Aaaand, you can get a digital postcard from there too (see photo).

    Nice place

    This is the at north of nakhon phanon think it's the 3rd one very long over Mekong river to Laos you can take the bus across from one side to other

    Not my idea of a tourist attraction

    It's not really worth the 11km trip from town unless you're going to Laos or are really into bridges.

    The bridge is almost 10 km north of the city and is intended to link eastern Thailand to ports in Vietnam. In terms of a sight to be seen, the bridge is not a major attraction.

    Nice

    A nice large bridge. And it looks good at the sunset. The custom house and the entrance ate nice. But only Thai and Lao people where allowed to cross it.

    Another Thai-lao Bridge

    The bridge is nothing spectacular but the shrine is worth a stop. Best to go early in the morning when there are few people around.

    A nice view.

    I have been to this area many times visiting the wife's parents, but finally decided to stop at the bridge i have driven past a hundred times. A nice surprise, with great views and fast entry if you want to visit Loas.

    Entry to Lao or entry to Thailand

    One of only a few land crossing into Thailand where full immigration service is available, meaning you can get a thirty day Thai visa. Most land crossing give only 15 day visa. .cannot walk across bridge into either country, must take a bus, seventy baht?

    was long on the list and very nice.

    very glad i did this bridge although it was very quiet i think 3 wagons went over in an hour or so, great views with laos mountains in backdrop

    Impressive bridge

    It's about 11 kms from out of town, for something to do I suppose it's worth the drive for a photo or two

    The bridge is about 1km long, I didn't see anyone walking across, in fact there was very little activity just a car and a couple of trucks. I know there are buses from the main bus depot in town going a few times a day... More
