Wow, what a great morning hike with Jason. Ditto to the comments below, definitely 5 stars +. Jason’s hike was the highlight of our trip to CH. Plus the easy personal communication with Valerie was excellent, she did a great job organising our trips in the short time scale that we had. Our full day trip with Narwan was also excellent and I throughly recommend him too. Thank you all for making our trip so memorable.

Jason is the best guide I ever had. Knows so much about the environment, all plants, insects and tells it in a way, you just cannot stop listening.. Also willing to share his ideas on local politics, world economy, theology, you name it.. But the best part is the way he takes care everyone is safe along the way. Wow! Never had that carring guide before. The routes he took us to, the way he remembered all our names, plus the super surprise of peersonalized email with pictures and information... Just overexceeds all expectations you have for a great guide and person. Would gladly leave him 7 out of 5 stars and still am not sure it would be enough :) If you can, definitely book a tour with Jason while in Cameron Highlands! You will not regret it!

The guide Jason went far beyond expectations. His knowledge about the jungle flora and fauna, his openness and will to discuss and stand for the importance of preserving biodiversity on our planet really impressed me. He pointed out numerous plants and described how to identify them and what they are used for. He also was familiar with plants I got to know on Borneo during an earlier phase of my trip through Malaysia.
I highly recommend this tour and guide as you get both a jungle trek, delicious snacks, a free walk through tea plantages, a free taxi ride home very good talks and delicious tea to see and taste. Also, he’ll send a summary of important information he shared orally as a pdf to you after the tour.

We did the Gunung Jasar trail with our kids (young adults). The itinerary was very beautiful, some passages are technical and quite trying. Jason gave us very interesting explanations about wildlife, flowers and geology while always mentioning the role and place of plants in nature. We enjoyed his company very much and highly recommend discovering this beautiful region. Coming from Switzerland, we experienced a totally exotic excursion for us and returned with wonderful memories.

We were so glad to get booked on to one of the hikes with Jason after reading about Cameron Secrets in Lonely Planet. Jason was a fantastic, enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide and the information he shared with us about the flora, fauna and wildlife was so interesting.
Jason paced the hike at the right speed and pace for everyone in the group with lots of breaks. The weather was on our side as well and the sun was out! The hike was challenging at times and proper walking boots are a must!
The communication before the tour was great with recommendation of a taxi, information about what we needed to take with us and after the hike we received photos a write up of everything we had seen. Jason also deserves 10 out of 10 for the best banana bread and energy snacks!
Our time with Jason was one of our highlights of our trip and would recommend 100%. We wish we had more time to have gone on more of the tours...Next time!! Thank you Cameron Secrets!

We took a tour with Jason through the Cameron Highlands jungle and it was an incredible experience! Jason is hugely knowledgeable and we learned so much about the local plants and environment. The views were mindblowing and trekking through the interior of the jungle is definitely not something we could have done on our own. Highly recommend the tour and the wonderfully kind (and funny) Jason!

We had Jason Chin as our guide while in Cameron Valley.
He was impressive with his wealth of knowledge on the flora and fauna and gave us a great insights into nature along the trail. He is passionate about conserving the environment. We had a wonderful time with him on this interesting hike. Will recommend Jason to anyone who wants to take on the hikes in Cameron Highlands.

My partner & I did the Cameron Valley descent hike with Jason and loved every second of it! We went on trails that we wouldn’t have been able to without a guide and learnt heaps about native flora which made the hike that much better.

Thank you for your enquiry.
Our activities are open every day.
The Mossy Forest and the tea plantation will be open. Just the BOH tea factory and tea centre will be closed during Aidfiltri (5th and 6th of June).
Our guides will still give you explanations on the tea process in the fields though.

Hi how easy is it to travel from KL to Cameron Highlands and on to Penang
Are private transfers easy to book

I’m not sure about private transfers, but my partner and I did this on our travels, it’s very easy to travel by coach. We booked from KL to the highlands online on easybook, then got our tickets on to Penang from the bus station in Tanah Rata. Around 30MYR per person for each journey and takes around 4/5 hours if I remember correctly! Hope this helps.

It will be me and my husband and two children. It is our first time in Cameron. We have no place to stay yet. Still looking for a nice clean affordable place. Visiting Cameron Highlands this weekend. We will be staying in Tanah Rata. Can anyone tell me what would be the best activity which does not require high level of physical activity.. moderate level is fine for us. Looking for a half day tour where we can visit places with best views.

we just left cameron Ireland. have a look at cameron eco tours or cameron secrets. they both offer tours which are decently priced. you may prefer cameron eco tours as they do less physically demanding walks
