One of the cleanest and serene places. We enjoyed a lot. We were staying at Camerin Hughland Resorts. A very Anglo vintage place, which is very well maintained and clean. We loved our stay. We did do the general visits like the tea gardens, sheep feeding, Flower Gardens etc. It was really very busy over the weekend though. But worth the visit.

About 2 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur. A cool highland retreat of average temperature of 18C degree. There are many things to see and do. Just walks through the villages, visits to the strawberry, honey bee farms and tea plantations or jungle tracking. The best cuisine is Chinese streamboat, can get in most restaurants.

Me and my boyfriend drove from Penang to Cameron Highlands and spent a night slept in the car at the top of Gunung Brinchang. No other tourist except us, very quiet and safe.
At the sunset we walked up the stairs and it led us to a beautiful walk way, something like a bridge, it was about 10 mins walk with spectacular view, that was the best bit.
Weather is chill, so bring a pullover with you, and bring your own food if you plan to camp or spend a night there.

We took Jungle Walk No 5 and 3 to the top. Nice hiking/climbing (more of a "jungle stair" than a trail sometimes) and the way was easy to find. However, there is not a view at the top worth mentioning so we were a little disappointed. Took No 8 back, more hiking up and down, a bit more challenging than No 3. All in all it took us about 5 hours. So if you're looking for some hiking in the jungle go for it ;) I don't think it would be much fun when it rains though. And don't expect to see anything else than forest ;)

The first part of Trail No. 3 is quite easy. A bit of up and down. Very nice view along the way. However, it's really doable.

After the shelter junction it gets very demanding. The ascent to Gunung Derembun gets very steep, it's more of a climb than a trek. At two points there are trees and mud so much in the way that you do actually have to climb to stay on track. (Yes we followed the signs and reflectors.)
The top of Berembun is nice though. Bring enough water.

I took a taxi from Tanah Rata to the Arcadia Bungalow, where Trail No. 3 starts. I unfortunately didn't have time to climb up Gunung Beremban, but instead took trail 5 down to MARDI and then back to the hotel Century Pines Resort. The whole trip took me about 2 hours, walking at normal speed. I saw one small snake and hear some animals in the bushes but didn't see them. I really loved this walk!

Great walk - we have done it twice. Walked into town from the Smokehouse one day on the trail and then back on another day. Has been quite wet and was a little slippery but the rainforest smelt lovely and was very relaxing.

I attempted trail 1 before finding it was closed halfway up. I then went to do trail 2 followed by trail 3. The two together took 4-5 hours and was really challenging in total. The hill top ascent is steep and it had been raining recently which made it slippy. Its began riding hard on the way down and I had to slide bits of it, make sure it is dry for the hill top, if it is going to rain I recommend doing it another time.
