This is one place (the whole of Cameron Highlands) that MUST BE AVOIDED during long holidays and festivities seasons
The roads are so badly jammed that travelling will be at 1-2km/h

I read the reviews on the Time Tunnel and was expecting be disappointed as most seemed to suggest that if you weren't from the area you wouldn't appreciate it. However, I was pleasantly surprised and I really enjoyed it, as did other members of my family who ranged from 8 to 76. It is the history of the area and includes lots of colonial gems and fascinating facts about the inhabitants over the ages. I especially liked the Jim Thompson exhibit but that was one of my reasons for visiting the area in the first place as I am a big fan. I thought it was well worth the visit.

A place very worth for a visit. I had visited this place twice, once with my family and once with a group of friends. We all had great time here, especially looking at the antiques which everyone of us ranged from early 20 to 60 years old could recalled and had empathy. Great place and it is truly a time tunnel.

I am a local born and bred at Cameron highland's I was born here in 1950 and at that time my dad was fighting the communist as he was with the "Home Guard" and back in the fifties it was cold as still a lot of Jungle around and we still have the British Army around, the Rivers was crystal clear and a lot of fishes in the rivers, and water was icy cold,we used to swim at the "Parit Falls" and there was not much of Developement and only some farms around with a small number of cars, lorries and LandRover's. and after the Seventies a lot of Development till now and the whole area is so complete changed, with a lot of Hotel's, Shops, Apartment's and farm's. Still we are very popular Holiday Resort as still we get the cool climate and Tourist come here to enjoy the cool climate,Fresh Vegetables,Tea,Strawberries and Flower's.

It is a nice place to see if you have time, you'll see the history of Thana Rata, nice. The place is full of photos and object that describe the history of Thana Rata and the Jim Thomson mystery. Through the tunnel you'll have a flash on Malaysia history.

We saw Dr Fox (He's not a real doctor....or fox) at the Time Tunnel, doing some research for his Magic FM show. That is all.
