Unfortunately we found the two volunteers far too attentive. We were approached immediately upon entering and felt as if we were being constantly watched. The fact they were volunteers and not paid was preached to all that entered, with the donation box clearly pointed to.

We stopped in here to look around before exploring the town. Both gentlemen who were manning the center were very helpful with information that my dad was seeking about how the town has changed since he was there 50 years ago. They helped with directions and we were also to pick up some lovely souvenirs and get a brief history of the town. It was a very well done little museum

Fabulous photos, displays, information regarding the history of a small village in Lymm Cheshire. Staffed by very friendly and knowledgeable local volunteer's this is a delightful must visit venue. History subject information is changed throughout the year to reflect the rich history of the village. Fabulous range of books, gifts, stocking fillers, jigsaws, Christmas cards etc for sale online. Exceptional quality and super quick delivery. Highly recommended

This is a single room museum, so don’t expect hours of entertainment! That said, it is a very informative exhibition, manned by lovely people who are enthusiastic, welcoming and knowledgeable about Lymm History. When we visited there was a special display on local industries, particularly gold-beating and fustian-cutting which was really fascinating and well-curated.

We took our Preschool class to the centre for a local trip out. Four volunteers opened the centre especially for us and tailored a talk to the children that kept them interested and educated for over an hour. It was hands on and fun with dressing up and even stocks to sit in. A huge thank you to everyone involved. Holly Grange Montessori Nursery and its families will definitely be visiting again

Glad to be given a talk by the staff during visit on cotton industry in Manchester when workers worked in extreme hardship condition. Information and statistic provided were interesting if not also very well prepared, better than other heritage centres in England where only seeing displays as norm. This interaction gives a story line behind the history and purpose why such centre is established to share history of this place. Well done!
