What a great find! Luckily my brother was with us and he recommended this lovely, quaint pub. Fabulous welcome from the lad from Stockton Heath. It really was like going back in time but in a lovely way. Would recommend…

We called in while waiting for a takeaway. What a little gem of a pub this is. A real pub!! We took our little dog Paddy in his bag and he had lots of attention which he loved. The staff and the landlord were all very welcoming. The customers were all very friendly as well. Certainly we will return on a more regular basis as it’s definitely one of our favourite pubs.

Nice little pub for a couple of pints. The bar staff were friendly and made us very welcome, and the locals were a good laugh too.

Nice pub with plenty of seating so for meeting friends its ideal. A group of us regularly meet up weekly for chat as do others on the same night. Friendly.

Called in late Friday afternoon with five retired ex-work friends for a catch up as we do in different locations every three months or so as we all live across the north of England.
Went to the bar, where landlord was sat, with a few others and ordered five pints of bitter, there was a selection of two real ales, plus the usual electric lagers and ciders etc.
We then took a seat in a corner, near the door so we could sit and catch up and not disturb and of the other “sparse” customers!
The landlord then came across and asked me to remove my flat cap?? I asked why, is it for CCTV purposes or similar and was told no, it’s just a rule!?!
I did remove it, however, there were no signs posted banning hats and was not told at the bar before ordering our drinks!
It was very poor customer relations and had the distinct feeling as we were not one of the “”regular locals” we were not welcome. Speaking to other people, in the nearby pubs, it seems it is not uncommon!
Needless to say, we won’t be returning!!!

Popped in for a pint whilst waiting on a Chinese from next door. Having got a pint and sat down I was approached by bar person and asked to remove my hat . As it was company policy. Sorry but I thought you were a pub not a church . Bloody stupid ... I'm fifty yrs old not a yuff in a hoodie f.f.s. Shocking attitude .

Good beer good company nothing else! Oh and they like dogs. Always have at least 3 real ales, and they hate noisy obnoxious children.

Very rude landlord. Came in for a few drinks with friends. Brought the dog with us as it’s a dog friendly pub apparently. He’s that well behaved and obedient he doesn’t really wear his harness or lead unless on road. Another customer came over to stoke him and he got up for a fuss. Landlord came over and asked us to get the dog under control. We did nothing wrong but felt that is was a clicky kind of place and we wernt welcome for that reason we won’t be back.

The pub as a whole has a nice calm atmosphere and Great service from this young lady so I don't doubt all the other staff will be as efficient as her !! nice one
