We walked up the monkey trail and didn't see any monkeys, we did see a big squirrel though. At the other side of the trail is a beautiful beach and we enjoyed the walk and the time spent at the beach.

We used the Monkey trail everyday . I must admit the initial steep climb especially in the mornings had me sweating , I am not in the first flush of youth , it then levels out and the Ao Nang side is less steep ....More

We decided to walk this trail to see what is on the other side. We came to the beach which is nice and quiet. Unfortunately, we haven't seen any monkey on the trail just one which was hurt by falling from the cliff into the...More

It was the only accessible route by foot to the Centara Beach Hotel or alternatively use the boat. it was a pleasant walk, we didn't see any monkeys - steep steps in parts and takes around 10 minutes each way or 15 if you are...More

I do not recommend anyone to walk the monkey trail! These are wild animals and unfortunately tourist feed them so if you have any food or candy in you backpack or bags they will smell you and come to raid

A nice walk around the cliff. However, at 3pm there were no monkeys to be seen. We were also a little concerned for our 5 year old because the steps and railings are uneven and we were cautious that he didn’t misstep and fall down...More

After reading many comments that "there are no monkeys" we still decided to give it a chance. We went just before sunset and saw many monkeys! Stairway at the beginning is a bit scary but gets easier at the end.

I heard they come out earlier in the day or later at night due to the heat. You are technically not allowed to bring food so there are less reasons to come say hi. After the short hike you arrive at a beach where you...More
