Clean and nice beach. Worth of visit. Not recommend for swimming. Can sit to relax and chill around the beach.

It was high tide when we went there but we still stepped on the beach. We thought the beach sand was rough. But when we look closer, it is a actually a shell beach.

...nothing more. The water is very muddy which makes swimming impossible (or at least highly unpleasant!). The scenery itself is fine but try to avoid the area when it's crammed with hundred of Chinese tourists busy digging shellfish out of the mud, by the water....More

Plenty to see & do from Ao Nang Beach like walking, paddling, swimming and people watching. There’s plenty of shops opposite for browsing in & buying souvenirs, clothing and food shops as well as restaurants & drink spots. A lovely way to spend a couple...More

When the tide is in or even slightly in there is no beach... unfortunately the sea comes right up to the promenade. Therefore can't really review the quality as we havnt sat on the beach.

I only spent one night here so was able to use the beach on the day I arrived. The beach is clean and was located behind my hotel. It was hot and humid but unfortunately no real sunshine. The beach looked great at night too....More

Just a basic beach. No powdery sand more course ground shells. No convenient or close bath facilities so come dressed. I highly recommend buying a beach mat at one of the vendors for $8-10.

We came in monsoon season so we didn’t swim as it was raining but the view was spectacular overlooking the beach and there are many shops and restaurants and massage places. Great area would return here in the summer.

Considering that monsoon has already set in that belt, you should reach and then do the island bookings as often due to heavy rains, island trips are cancelled. In such event, you stand to lose your money on prior bookings... More

Ao Nang beach is the best option. You will get many stay options and awesome pubs and restaurants around. Its well connected to all the beaches and tourist activities around. Good night life and clean beach. Have fun !
