Beyond crowded
I came here 5 years ago and although it was busy then, there was still plenty of sand area to relax and not overly crowded with shacks.... we went there yesterday (January 6th and on a weekend) and it was the most chaotic beach experience ever. There were hundreds upon hundreds…

The government should be doing something about this place
I'm not even sure if the shacks along the beach are legally built there. Always ask for the price when they bring you to drink, scan artists the lot of them. A beautiful beach ruined by scum. The peddlers are not even the worst, first place goes to everyone that owns a shack.

Tourist Trap. Avoid
A very nice beach but overcrowded, might be dangerous during high season as there are many kinds of things going on while you swim: water bikes, boats close to the shore, etc. Lots of people offering massages, food, drinks , beach chairs, umbrellas.
