We actually went on a tour through Dazante Tours to this island. It was really cool. My daughter loved the pink lake and salt crystals. We got to see the 'ghost' town of the old mining operation and learn its history along with information about the local wildlife. Definitely glad we went.

Perfectly clear waters 50' down. Great variety of fish and sea life. No People!!! Protected Island in the Marine Preserve.

I wish I was there right now, I love it! The reason why I rated a 4 is because time for snorkeling went by so fast or maybe not enough for me... And because their snorkeling masks are old or overused; allowing water leakage often during snorkeling session. Anyways, I had an awesome time in this island. It offered great... More

I visited Isla Carmen in June 2004 with friends on their 52-foot sailboat. Isla Carmen is about 20 nm east of Loreto, Baja California Sur.
