This aerea will be renovated shortly in a very beautiful way. Nice to walk along the oceanside. Good location for relaxing moments. Good bars and restaurants around.

noise, dust, dump truck all day and nights. really disappointed. It appears that nearly the whole distance is being worked on at the same time.

We went to the anthropology museum and it was a don't miss experience...very nice, and cool, and a banó, and all in Spanish, so bring your brain, your translation guide, or wing it...great place!

Currently under construction scheduled to be completed by February 2018 for carnival. Looks like it will be beautiful when finished. You still have access to all the stores and restaurants along the malecon however a few detours may be in order. As always watch where...More

ok, this is an amazing walkway right on the waterway in La Paz. However they are in a huge upgrading program right now with 60%of the Malecon ripped up as well as street frontage. Beautiful sculpture every few blocks so this well be awesoem.

Lots of random loud construction all up and down the Malecon. Beautiful unique bronze statues everywhere. Stop at the Corona beer store for a cheap icy cold beer! We would definitely come back to La Paz once all the construction is complete.

The Hotel Blue is where we stayed, the room was very reasonable and included breakfast. It was a couple of blocks from the Malecon. If you are looking for a tour operator, I can highly recommend VIP. Enjoy!

Balandra Beach--our favourite--less than half an hour from la Paz by car. Other beeches right in the city, at either end of Malecon.
