You will see this feature as you enter from the south. When a city dedicates resources to beautify and welcome visitors, you know that it has its priorities straight. Whether you appreciate the artwork does not matter. The fact that a city prides itself on allowing for public artwork with meaning is what is important. Kudos to La Paz for... More

This sculpture is so pretty. I'm just sorry it is on the very outskirts of town. Great to see and thought provoking in today's climate

Always loved this whale tail/dove monument. It is extremely well done and well planned. When one first sees it coming from the north, it looks like a whale tail, then as you get closer you see the dove body. Great monument.

Great attraction, beautiful monument to welcome you to the city. The city's name stands for peace and it's only fitting the monument has the same meaning.

Sounds like a book or a movie, but thats what is know by, by most of the locals who live in La Paz. It is located as you drive North out of town on the way to the airport. It used to be white, now a brown color, maybe to match the dust in the area. And now of all... More

Still looks like a whale's tail to me, but it is distinctly La Paz! Without the monument there would be far fewer La Paz t-shirts to sell...

This is an impending landmark and a beautiful piece of art! I think it should be painted white as it was previously though...It truly does represent all that LaPaz is...Peace with the Dove and the whale tail combination... Perhaps it could be in a better location but it is an impending piece that everyone sees when they are driving and... More

The monument itself is awesome. The problem is where they put it. It is smack in the middle of the sewage plant area and always smells of raw sewage there. So sad.

Two plaques, bilingual, on the twin towers give a brief history lesson, although they leave out the Mexican Government attempt to wipe out the church in Mexico.
