This was the most amazing trip. They picked us up at our resort in Cabo and drove us with a very experienced tour guide who explained the entire time of driving. The Turtle sanctuaries and national Parks. and then to La Paz. We toured the Whale museum and learned what to expect with the whale shark, what to do if... More

First thing we did was whale shark tour. We didn't Book a tour in advance because most departed before our flight arrived (around 11am). So we winged it and went to the beach and there are many boats available for tours and I'm sure many prices as well. We found a guy we liked named Joel, he charged us $75... More

This is not an experience for everyone. You have to be a confident swimmer because you will be swimming way off shore in the middle of the bay. Secondly you have to sprint all out. You appreciate that the worlds largest FISH not whale is both fast and comfortable in the water and can move very quickly. Your dare is... More

The high rating I provide is for the experience of swimming with the whale sharks. That was an unforgettable experience. However, I would look at another tour provider. Sun Rider lacked good customer service. On their website it appears that lunch is also provided but it is not. Only a quick stop for breakfast if travelling from Los Cabo. They... More

No not the cheapest but it was a great experience. The water was murky and a little choppy but not too rough. The guide was excellent. They do a good job prepping you and providing advice and equipment. Be forewarned. The whale sharks may just hang out but they often just keep cruising along and they are relatively hard to... More

Enjoy the encounter with these gentle giants as it is a truly amazing experience, but please do it wisely and prioritize well-being of the whale sharks. When researching on the internet, I found different opinions as to whether touching whale sharks is harmful to them or not. Some say that YOU SHOULD NEVER TOUCH SHARKS as they aren't commonly exposed... More

We went on a whale shark adventure during our recent expedition with Lindblad & National Geographic. Around 10-12 of the guests boarded the boat and the guides took us out a few miles off the coast of La Paz. It was early in the morning so, finding the whale sharks were somewhat difficult, but once we found one, the rest... More

Our airbnb hostess suggested us taking USD $200+ pp VIP excursion package from Cabo to La Paz, but my Spanish-fluent brother decided on the DIY route. At 7:30AM, we took Aguila bus from Cabo city terminal to La Paz marina, cost only about $30 USD round trip. There is a Burger King a block from the marina (where all excursions are... More

Talked to Hector right across the street from Sunrisers and he charges 500 pesos. A local guide told us when to jump in just before the whale shark would swim right under me. I'd turn and follow it until I get tired. Repeated this about 5 times until everyone was satisfied. Hector said we wouldn't pay unless we saw whale... More

This is an incredible experience. The whale sharks are so large and seem so docile. We were able to jump in the water and swim with them. We happened to be on a boat that had Trevor Brown from Baja Connections on it, and he shared his knowledge with everyone, not just his paying customers. I would recommend him. We... More
