Beautiful walkway overlooking Sea of Cortez, marine sanctuary, marina and waterfront. Well lighted at night, beautiful sunrise and safe. Lined with hotels and restaurants and a beach at each end. Enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. A walkway to old square and mission connects to malecon.

The Malecon is a wonderful walk along the beach! Most of it is wheel chair accessible, the views are beautiful, and I've been told that during whale season some can be seen from here! It's easy to get to and a must while in Loreto!

This seaside walkway is charming, especially at night when the lights reflect off the water and the moon casts its glow. The Malecon has its own special charm that is hard to describe. It’s something you feel. The giant boulders, boats tethered in the water,...More

This is a wonderful way to enjoy a leisurely walk or a faster run, along the ocean. Great views of sea birds, neighboring islands, dolphins and local fishermen.

Every day we walked the Malecon. It extends from beyond the marina to the end of the beach-maybe a mile and a half. It's a nice flat surface-great for a walk or a short jog. The views are breathtaking; you can't get any closer to...More

the malecon in Loreto is a great place to walk and watch the sunrise. You can ride a bike if you wish and it is wheelchair friendly. Fun for the whole family!
