My family and I traveled to Playas de Tijuana in June of 2017 where we had an authentic meal with an ocean view. We went during the week so it was pretty dead, no tourists or anything really. The beach looked like an ordinary beach...More

The place was very busy, which is a good indicator that the place was good. Had to wait about 5min to be seated. Staff are friendly. Salad bar has a great variety and the meat, chicken, seafood was cooked really great. Because they are so...More

Limited activities good sea food, small city with big soul that offers you a moment to make a reflection of the pain in both sides of the wall.

I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The beach was clean and reasonably maintained. Many families were out and about on the malecon and at the beach. There were ok food choices but not what I am typically used to for...More

A very nice city to visit. Right along the ocean; you can hear the waves lapping at the shore and feel the cool ocean breezes! A great place to just sit and relax! Interesting shops to visit. Vendors along the streets.

It's a cool place to visit and take in the ocean views. Everything very old though and actually more of a historical view of older Mexico. Food is ok and I think mostly trust worthy. Not much for shopping area and not the best for...More

We had a great time wandering around the malecon, stopping at the shops and restaurants and bars, sitting on the beach. The border wall is a stark reminder of the fences that we build as humans.

Not in playas de tijuana but you can drive about 15 min to rosarito beach and you can find rental horses there, even camels.

For all intents and purposes, Playas is one single beach. Currents are treacherous so swimming is only for the experienced and strong. The water rarely gets warm enough to enjoy.
