Spent a wonderful afternoon with Captain Felix and crew travelling through the mangroves, listening to so many varieties of birds. Stopped for water lily necklaces and a mud facial. Time to try our hand at net fishing. Enjoyed seeing this beautiful side of Mexico and Acapulco. This tour was set up for us by our guide Roberto (RobertoAlarconTours) and he... More

Just came back from a great visit to Tres Palos Lagoon. I was challenged to find an activity that interested my 4 older kids who all like different activities (22, 21, 19 and 13). We went out on a boat with our tour guide Roberto (robertoalarcontours) and 2 great local fisherman who provide tours and live on the lagoon. I... More

Birds, birds, birds. Unforgettable tour. Got to try casting a fishing net and got a mud face mask. Lagoon is fascinating.

We found safe boats to sail the lagoon at almost the end of the Barra Vieja road, right off the shore of the Restaurant "Godoy" and enjoyed a very pleasent tour where we were explained all about the lagoon, the birds island, etc. we collected some black mud from the bottom.

Besides the boat ride on the lagoon, learning about turtles being an endangered species and how the people here are helping by saving the eggs from being destroyed and hatching the baby turtles to be released into the ocean in hopes of surviving and coming back to lay more eggs.

Custom boat tour with the kids. Th kids got to clay on them, and lily pad flowers. Lots of birds. After we got a homemade lunch with fish caught that morning. Then the kids played soccer with the workers. Nic attraction!

A friend of ours took us the other day. Not easy to find so took a taxi. Have to go early for lunch. At least by noon. All the fish is fresh and when it is gone, it is gone. Had shrimp, white fish and carp. Will cook anyway you want. The area is across from the Diamonte area. Very... More

Guide was very accommodating and friendly. Boat was not as clean as I would have liked. The young boy that dropped the fishing nets so we could navigate the lagoon was exceptional. The mud facials were an added bonus.
