Amazing and worth the trip downtown. Loved it. The church sells rosaries which were beautiful. It is in the heart of downtown we felt safe. The people were friendly and helpful.

This is a beautiful church. I highly recommend a city tour where they will give you some of the amazing background eg. 2nd oldest church in Mexico, the importance of the Stars of David that can be seen in the stained glass, etc.

..Like most, if not all, churches in Mexico the beauty is hard to deny. It's all the better if you can attend mass so you can feel the spirit and love of the congregation.

My wife and I have traveled to Italy and have seen some very beautiful churches. Other churches in Mexico like Chalma ranks high on the list of churches we have seen.

This highly decorated church is not only beautiful inside and out, but it is also the only Catholic church with Stars of David in the stainglass windows. You can purchase keepsakes from the entrance vendors, go in and light a candle, sit and bask in...More

Very nice cathedral. I felt uncomfortable during the visit with mass being held. It felt very disrespectful to have a tour being conducted while people were attending mass. The cathedral was beautiful. But we didn't stay long at all. We went across the street to...More

This is a magnificent cathedral that combined well the old and new in its design. I expected to see small town churches spread over the city but this is the mostly the one and main church. It is located close to the market so it...More

Anywhere I visit, I love to tour the churches and cathedrals. We went to Immaculate Conception our second day in Mazatlan and it was locked up. Even though we were disappointed we still enjoyed taking photos of the outside. We went to the market on...More

The outside has been completely refurbished. It's a nice place to visit if you like old churches. Go on a Saturday when they don't have services.

Taxi to the church will cost less than $20 US. No tickets needed. Unfortunately, I do not recall the mass schedule, but I suspect the desk personnel at your hotel will be able to advise you.

I don't know what time mass is, but a pulmonia is the most convenient way to get there. All the drivers know the cathedral.

I'm not sure if they have any English masses. There were no English masses for the Solemnity of Mary on January 1 when we were there. We have been to English mass at San Judas Tadeo in the Golden Zone. It was at 8:45 am.
