Definitely a place to visit in Mazatlan. It's pretty easy to find. Walk up is not too bad, for our family took only like 20 minutes. Get's you sweaty and out of breath but it's totally worth it. View is pretty amazing, both ways to the city and to the Pacific. We even climbed down some "secret" path on the... More

Not a difficult walk if you are in decent shape, but older and overweight tourists will not be happy. The best time to come is very early in the morning, both for the cooler temperatures and the fabulous sunrise views over Stone Island and the city center. Take the green Sabalo Centro bus which runs from the Golden Zone and... More

Strenuous?, Yes. Rewarding? You bet, very rewarding. The climb to the light house will take some time and effort but the view of all of Mazatlan will take your breath away. You should take some water, but there is a little snack shop in the light house if you are like us and didn't plan well.

Have been up here many times by foot from the halfway point all the times, and half of the times by bike till couldn't go any higher because of the steps...Air is thin so you must go slow all the way unless you are in top shape and do a lot of running...The 360 views are unsurpassable with the ocean... The best view of the city by far is from the top of this hill, which also includes the El Faro lighthouse. The hike up the hill is 25-30 minutes at a regular pace, and there's a guy at the top who sell water and Gatorade. See reviews of El Faro lighthouse for directions and more information
