Best Movie Experience
Feb 2020 • Couples
This is one of the best movie experiences we have ever had. Tuesdays they do half price movies if you are part of the club. Well worth it and highly recommended, if you are looking to watch a film.

great theatre - terrible popcorn
Feb 2020
Saw bombshell here with some friends on a rainy day. Seats were super comfy but it took over 45 minutes for the waiter to bring the popcorn and drink and the popcorn was like eating styrofoam that like much of mexican food was oversalted. I left 85% of it uneaten. Try something else from the extensive menu. My friend fell asleep because the seat was so nice and reclined right back so even sitting near the front wasn't so bad. Because it was rainy the theatre was full quite early.

Our first movie experience in México

Friends had told us about the great movie experience at Cinepolis and we finally got to go. We went to watch Aquaman ... could not believe the great service with full bar and food delivered to our powered recliners! Love it

Fabulous cinema
Jan 2019 • Couples
Most of the movies they have are English with subtitles, which was great for us. The chairs are reclining loungers - extremely comfortable. Senior discount for the movie was nice. We ordered 2 for 1 frozen margaritas from our seats. A great experience.

Definitely check this theatre out, kids welcome. English movies
Jan 2019 • Family
We went to see Bumblebee at the VIP Cinepolis theatre at La Isla mall in Jan 2019. I couldn’t find any information about whether it was for adults only and kind of felt that it was based on trying to purchase tickets online. We wanted to go one night, but I’m guessing it sold out because the movie listing was taken down from the website later on the day when I checked. Because of that, we decided to go to the mall a couple of hours before the show and purchase tickets at the desk beforehand, as well as confirm if kids were allowed. Indeed they were. It was 122 pesos for adults and 91 pesos for kids. For the price of seeing a regular movie at home in Canada or possibly even a little bit cheaper, you can have this luxurious experience at the VIP theatre. When you pay, you pick out your seats in the theatre. There aren’t as many as a regular theatre because there’s only 10-12 seats per row, at least in the back.

The seats are comfy, they recline electronically using some buttons on the seats. There’s a little glass table that swivels in front of you if you want and a table between each set of two seats. Blankets are available if you’re cold. There’s a call button at each seat so you can get someone to take your order after you’ve looked over the menu.

We came back for the show 30 mins early and we were the first people in the theatre. That was enough time to look over the Spanish menus, call someone, try to work out the translation, place the order and have the food arrive as the movie was starting. A massive popcorn box and 2 large pops were 185 pesos. That was good enough for our whole family. Obviously, there’s other food available if you haven’t eaten supper, but unfortunately, we had, so I can’t vouch for how good the food is. The popcorn was good though. We also had a couple of strawberry margaritas and they were not bad. There’s a man in the washroom to give you paper towel.

I definitely recommend coming to this theatre if you’re a movie buff or just want a relaxing day. A good thing to do on a not so nice day too. If you’re trying to pick out which movies will be played in English, check the website and look for SUB. This means it plays in English with Spanish subtitles. Text during the movie will likely be in Spanish too such as ending credits, or if a location or date is displayed during the movie. We will remember this place and make sure to come back in the future.

Wonderful Movie going experience
Nov 2018 • Friends
It was a strange day actually rained in November but either way worked out great as I had made online reservations for VIP Cinepolis at Las Isla Shopping mall. Quite cool. You just show your phone, no tickets required.

They have a lovely lounge area with drinks, including alcoholic drinks and snacks while you wait. Once inside theatre, with already chosen seats, two together, with side tables, lights and automatic reclining and massaging seats and table. Extensive menus of food items, to drinks to snacks and even desserts. I had chicken tenders with a sauce along with a diet coke and the traditional popcorn too. With tip, I believe it came to about 200 pesos and was served to my seat, and you can pay with cash or credit card.

The seats were so comfortable and I just enjoyed it immensely, other than the traditional too cold AC in theatres. I brought a blanket so I was all set.
This was a girls day and we saw Bohemian Rhapsody and it was just a great movie with great sound in the theatre.

We went on a weds., which is special price day and at 93 pesos for the movie and the atmosphere it was a sure bargain! This is a definite to do if a not so great weather day or nighttime activity needed. Clean comfortable, fun and yes the movie was in English!

First run movies in English

The Cinepolis movie theatre at La Isla is a clean, well-maintained and comfortable venue.
I really like the padded, motorized reclining seats. It's called a VIP theatre, and it's a bit more expensive than the other screens in PV, but the comfort is really outstanding.
There are only 4 screens, so it's not large by most mall standards. I suggest online reservations if you want to go at busy time during high season. Food is available, and a pretty large munu, but don't expect gourmet quality. I had the brisket sandwich with curly fries last night. Served on toasted baguette - was pretty good - even if I did get cheese on my shirt. Most of the films are in English with Spanish subtitles. Overall a good experience.

Excellent theatre. One of my best movie experiences.

We’re from Canada and I didn’t think this theatre would be any different than anything I’d been to. But we were pleasantly surprised. Very impressive theatre indeed. They have amazing chairs like lazy boy recliners with full power controls. The cost was cheap I thought. They have menus at the seats and you can order food......you name it.....burgers, ribs, hot dogs, and they even have a full bar. I was blown away by this place.

One key note is that they don’t take US cash so you need pesos or a credit card. Enjoy the show!
