Gorgeous beach!

Absolutely loved this beach! Not as crowded-take a water taxi instead of buying into a "tour", that way you can stay as long as you want. Gorgeous, clean beach!

You can only get here by boat and we suggest the private panga. We paid $40 each for 15 of us to have a private snorkel trip, whale watch adventure and delicious lunch and play in the ocean. The iguana pics at lunch were classic memories. Can't wait to return

We found Las Animas beach really crowded. There are tons of restaurants lining the shore, and the beach and water and packed with people and boats. We liked Playa Caballo much more than Las Animas. We did the hike from Boca to Playa Caballo, spent most of our time there, and then went to Las Animas just to get the... More

Great place to visit that gives you an adventure in just getting there. We took taxi from hotel that cost 260 pesos to Boca de Tomatlan. That costs more than the bus but we didn't want to have to make tons of stops to get there. Well worth cost in our opinion. They drop you off at water taxi (make... More

Beach is nice but can be busy with tourists, locals and too many beach vendors. It is very Safe for all the family an the water is very clean.

I liked the boat ride but the beach is nothing special and way to many beach bar\restaurants makes the whole thing too crowded. Maybe we missed something but wasn't our cup of tea.

One of our family and friends favorite things to do when we are in PV is to take La Vida Bella ( private boat tour) with Captain Fernando for a day trip to Playa Las Animas. The beach is beautiful , the water is warm and easy to swim in and the food is excellent at the Los Cones restaurant... More

We took a water taxi for $16 round trip from old PV to get there. Big, long, beautiful beach! Perfect ocean view. Fun to swim in the water. Lots of cafes that have waiters serve you in while you're in the beach chair. Don't miss it!

I took a group of 10 to this beach by boat and it was a disaster. Talk about a paradise lost. The dock was absolutely scary. Thank god nobody got hurt on the sharp metal edges . The beach would have been beautiful except for the mass influx of tourists/ refugees. We were lucky to get some chairs and a... More

We arrived by boat after snorkelling at Los arcos. Piña Coladas, shrimps and nachos on the beach. Kids loved jumping off the jetty and enjoyed fresh coconuts to cool off. Clean washrooms, excellent service at the restaurant.
