Just got back from a week in PV. Drove past the arena where there was a sign for bull fights on Wednesday evenings. However more than one taxi driver told me they stopped the bull fights a couple of years ago. If anyone else has an update, please post it.

La Paloma was a popular place for locals and tourists to see this Mexican tradition inherited by the Spaniards known as "Fiesta Brava." But to be honest, bullfighters are everything but brave. Using the support of other people who previously weaken the bull with drugs, spears and knives and then make fun of the animal that is confused, lost, fearful... More

Free tickets from friends, and it was still a colossal waste of time....such disgusting "entertainment" seeing animals suffering... pretty much everything in Puerto Vallarta is amazing but this is a black eye in paradise! Save your money and go see anything else....

Many years ago, I had been to professional bullfights in Spain (Pamplona, during Running of the Bulls festival) and in Saltillo, Mexico. Bullfights, called "Corrida de Toros" in Mexico, can be seen each Wednesday at 5 pm during high season, November through May, at the Paloma Bullring across from the Maritime Terminal. We paid $35 a ticket, and took a taxi to the bullring, we got there a bit early, had a few beers (Corona's are $2 each and the beer vendors... More
