Good beach, very calm and very clean. Very safe to swim since it is shallow. Not recommended for those who wish to surf or enjoy the waves. Many typical Mexican restaurants and endless possibilities to eat fresh fruits and but all the possible handicraft and banana bread from the vendors. Especially good and popular for families with young kids. Very... More

Beautiful beach. Water is so warm and it's not crowded. You can walk deep into the ocean and still be touching the ground. Water very salty so be careful none gets inside your nose or mouth because it will sting and taste nasty. The restaurant was ok. The food wasn't good quality. They only served seafood. So be prepared to... More

Several nice restaurants to choose from. Best fresh sea food. Also a place where you can drive your vehicles on to the beach shore, Bbq and Set up day camp. Water Is Aways Warm & Calm! One of the safest shallow waters for small children to play in. My 4 and 5 year old love it. Im 5'7 and they... More

This beach on the bay of Matanchen is known for its calm waters and shallow incline. It's perfect for those people afraid of the big ocean ond the undertow. I wonderful place for swimming and then some days light surfing. Many Palapa palm covered restaurants offering local fair. By banana bread and eat a whole red snapper sarandeado in the... More

The sandy beach at Las Islitas is a long, gentle curve, good for walking & picking up a few little shells scattered at the water's edge. There aren't any breakers or even really any waves coming into shore here - it's so calm & still & beautiful. You can walk far out into the bay & still be only knee-... More

This beach is an excellent place for kids, the waves are little and the water is peacefully. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from and some of them have restroom.

We came here a few years back, out of season... it was absolutely delightful and unspoilt as could be. A slice of paradise. A glimpse of heaven!!!

excellent totally calm water and lovely beach with many palapa restaurants, each one sending forth energetic emissaries to make sure you park at THEIR restaurant. It's palapa-covered parking, so the car stays a little cooler for the ride home. Lovely shrimp and guacamole and cervezas of course. Be sure you have small denominations of pesos. We found that was the... More

If you are looking for a nice place to spend an afternoon and want to play in the water this is a great spot. It's a nice big bay with calm, clear water. It is a very shallow entry and great for kids. There are restaurants with food and drinks.

Worth a visit for sure. Just make sure you have transport - our taxi didn't show up at 4:00pm so we walked to town.
