We wanted to go to Playa Manzanillo because it is very quiet with good snorkeling. As it turned out we were there with only one other small boat. We choose Julio's Tours, they went where we wanted to go and the price was reasonable. On the back to Zihau, our tour stopped at Playa los Gatos and we could do... More

This is the second fishing trip that we have taken with Julio and it was just as much fun as the first. Fishing was a little slow, but we did catch five fish -- just enough for lunch. No fault of Julio and his mate, that's why they call it fishing and not catching! During the trip, Julio spotted two... More

Julio, who speaks English, runs the boat tour company. Our boat captain was Tomas, who does not speak English. We left Zihua around 9 a.m. and when we got to Playa Manzanillo (a very nice boat ride) there were 6 - 10 other boats there, which was fine, but it was not a deserted beach as we have seen it... Had friends who were steered to this captain on TA and they proudly returned with what they had been told was black tuna. But it was Barrilete which is used as a bait fish, or at best in tiritas. But they were not fishermen and enjoyed the day on the bay.

Totally fun! I booked mostly over email with a very pleasant and flexible gal, Carol. The snorkling was fabulous. Our boat captain didn't speak much English but that didn't matter. Go get a little out of your comfort zone, it's worth it!

Our large group (14) had a great time in both boats, pleasant crew, wonderful snorkeling, and a fun time hanging out at the beach restaurant afterward. Recommended.

My adult son and I did an inshore fishing trip. We caught 6 Bonita and 1 Mackerel. Tomas was our captain and he did a really nice job. Our only complaint is that we think the trip could have been an hour shorter. The last hour dragged on and we did not catch any fish in the last 1.5 hours.... More

Julio wasn't very engaging and didn't talk to us much, although we tried many times to converse with him. Didn't make an effort to change the lures although did take us to several different locations. One positive of the day was Franco at the beachside restaurant.
