Jardin de la Union is quintessential Guanajuato. This is the center of activity for the city -- not the only place by any means, but it's definitely the epicenter of tourism (very few Americans), Mariachi music, political activism, outdoor dining, and dancing to band performances...More

We enjoyed seeing the sights this city offered. Mariachi bands played at the square and the colorful buildings were so beautiful.

Not to be missed. Shaded benches under thick laurel trees. Friendly people and interesting people watching. Recommend.

The garden is just a few steps from the hotel we are staying. It's next to the Juarez theatre. It's also a center point where the estudiantil cervantino meets for the traditional callejóniada.

I absolutely loved it here. If you are into music and dancing and having fun this is a place for you, drinks are fairly cheap. Stay away from cocktails at this place. Great for people watching, does have a lot of kids selling stuff and...More

The place is so beautiful yet so unfriendly to enjoy. It is a shame that one cannot be calm and just sit at a bench to relax. Loud music of many types play at the same time (depending on who hires which group). They all...More
