The story of the young refugee from the Spanish Civil War who escaped to Mexico, had an eminent career and founded this place while accumulating the largest collection of Quixote art really inspired me as did all the incredible views of the knight himself. Having...More

.Who could know that such a little gem of a museum could exist so far from the plains of La Mancha. The origins of the museum are inspirational and the collection itself is eclectic and entertaining. Well worth a visit if you are in Guanajuato.

A collection of sculpture and art devoted to Don Quixote and Cervantes. An unusual story of how a book kept a Holocaust Survivor alive and his dedication to the author and his subject by collecting every conceivable representation and building a museum. The collection grows...More

Probably our favorite art thing we did in GTO. Lots of new surprizes and looking at something and saying "cool". If you enjoy art that makes you think a bit, check it out.

This is a unique museum that offers a little bit of Cervantes, Quixote, interior architecture and design and a coffee shop. We wandered through both floors. Interesting, but if you have other priorities, I would skip this place.

A fabulous museum! Of course there are many pieces you'd expect to see, but it also includes some avant-garde pieces as well. It's exciting to see sculpture, painting and performing arts in this lovely location. Highly recommended.

This pretty museum has many paintings of Don Quixote, some better than others. More interesting are the various Quixote printings in many languages from several centuries. This museum is located in a well preserved old residence. The day I visited the ticket was free! Well...More

The collection of art and artifacts is quite significant. Tours are free on Tuesdays. Be aware that the floors are uneven and buckle in many places. You will need to be able to negotiate stars as there are no passages that don't require you to...More
