We were in Guanajuato for their famous festival Cervantino so this museum was one of the main attractions for us. We enjoyed the art, and the great coffee shop located on a beautiful courtyard, and had the best coffee and hit chocolate in town.

This museum contains a very pleasant collection of works depicting Quixote and Sancho Panza. The galleries are very nice. However there is little information about either Quixote or Cervantes.

I enjoyed the artwork, ceramics, photography and murals at this museo. It isn't very big so it doesn't take long to tour but it was interesting. Don Quixote is unique in all the ways he is exhibited here. Statues, Lladro ceramics, paintings...lots of things worth...More

Great museum with a very nice collection of artwork about "Don Quijote", good exhibitions and a lovely cafe in the patio. I would recommend to take an afternoon to visit this beautiful museum and then visit Diego Rivera's house museum.

After following the path Don Quixote took in Spain we were quite surprised to find him popping up in Guanajuato. The museum has a very nice display of Quixote sculptures related to Cervantes' writing. In fact there is a festival in honor of the author...More

Start in Room 1, which is easy to walk right by after you buy your ticket (30 pesos) in the gift shop. A few paragraphs on the wall give an important introduction to the museum, and even to why Guanajuato calls itself the Cervantes center...More

This museum is a collection of art inspired by the novel and its characters, both from Spain and Latin America. The collection is beautifully selected, and much of the art is truly worth seeing on its own.
