Pleasant time on the water

This was fun. Go early, but not too early because it really doesn't get going until 10 am and we went at 8 am when it "opens"

I dreamt of going to Xochimilco for a long time. I pictured it an idyllic experience, floating on a trajinera while eating good tacos while listening to mariachis and enjoying beautiful views of an eco park. Nothing could be further from reality. Just as Mexico City's traffic is chaotic, the trajinera traffic is just as much. The surrounding area is... More

This is great for all ages! Sit back and enjoy this lively experience as you glide down the canal in your groups private trajinera. Floating beside you are people celebrating birthdays and other special events while Mariachi bands are singing and performing. Floating barges selling food and trinkets pass you by. All while you enjoy the history and the culture... More

We were here on a Sunday and it was packed with fun-loving people having a good time. So may food outlets and junkie (in a fun way) vendors - too much to take in. The lake is very pretty and the boaters everywhere. A great place to walk around and watch fun happen. Eye candy! Heart candy!

Fun thing to do with family and friends. Had a picnic on the boat which was delish, we picked up food at one of the many family run restaurants at the park. Many, many boats on the river just like a traffic jam. We drifted past doll island, why they do this who knows but, it makes you wonder! One... More

Great time here. Having a boat ride with many other boats around, people singing, drinking on the boats, mariachi playing, nature all around. Also there are floating merchants so you can buy food and drink while flowing :)

This is a place with more than 1000 years of history! Very interesting tour and different things to do while you are in the boat. All Mexican traditions in one two hour tour on the canals. Mariachis, Trios, Carnivore plants, beer, restaurants and much more. I highly recommend it. Only thing that I didn't like or understood is why people... More

Enjoyed the park very much. A slow cruise through canals, the Venice of Mexico. Day we were there extremely busy, we so enjoyed the hustle and bustle, however once aboard our flatboat we enjoyed the scenery. Several stops available if necessary for restrooms. Food sold alongside our boat, we had taken our own food and drinks, restroom stop cost to... More

Mexico is beautiful, but unfortunately it can be very corrupt. Everyone is always haggling for money, dishonest, and not very helpful. I was born in Mexico and raised half my life there. I was disappointed to see the corruption that exists within this great city. We were followed my a man that kept helping us get to the enbarcado. He... More

Bad, bad, bad. A cannal crowded of empty boats, The rate for one hour aprox. of traveling through a dirty cannal where you buy food from another floating boat, expensive and awfull food without the traditional mexican flavor. And you se some flowers, some are carnivorous and a reptile half snake half lizard that lives in the cannal. Not worth... More
