These were the original studios of Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo and Juan O'Gorman (who actually designed them). The interiors are small and it seems somewhat surreal that so many masterpieces were created in these small rooms. A couple of rooms are made up as they...More

Being interested in Diego and Frida, it was a thrill to walk through their homes and see Diego's studio. However his house is really the only insight into their life and art, as the rest of the space has been cleared for exhibitions. Security is...More

Only requires 30-60 minutes, buy a lovely little spot. Fans of Rivera and Kahlo will enjoy this glimpse into their work studios

The museum is great, the building and their (Diego and Frida's) belongings are really great. The security staff is rude, you can barely touch anything (it's an empty house) and don't even think touching one of the outside columns - me and my family are...More

Located in one of the most beautiful places in the south of Mexico City. Contemporary construction, shows some art and the places where Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera painted and lived. Is a small museum I expected more art and found more of the life...More

It's an extremely rare treat to see where great artists lived and worked. Thankfully, the home of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo exists and is well maintained. The grounds consists of three buildings: Diego's house/studio, Frida's house/studio, and third building (visitors?). It's a great piece...More

I really enjoyed this museum duo, despite the crowds at Museo Frida Kahlo. The Anahuacalli is amazing, a real gift from Diego Rivera to the people of Mexico and the world, do not miss that portion. We took a tour bus offered at the Casa...More

A great visit, I have no idea why this place has so many fewer visitors than the blue house but it makes for a far better experience. Nice neighbourhood too.

Located in an upscale neighborhood, walk through Diego Rivera and Freda Kahlo's homes and studios. This is before they moved to Casa Azul (Blue House).

It's cool to say I was there. Unfortunately Frida's house was closed and the only part you could enter was Diego's studio. Note: this location is across the street from San Angel Inn which is one of the ritzy hotels worth checking out.

San Angel
San Ángel is known for its artistic vibe and elegant
details displayed throughout its streets, antique
residences and haciendas where famous actors like
Consuelo Velázquez, Capulina and other prominent
families used to live and that have now been turned
into beautiful galleries, cafés and restaurants. An
array of cultural and artistic activities are
organized in the neighborhood, but it is on Saturdays

Hello! Diego Rivera's Studio is about a 15 min walk from Frida Kahlos. That walk crosses some big streets so I recommend taking a taxi. However, they are both very doable in one day. You need about 2-3 hours for Casa Azul... More
