Modern structures in the plaza, well kept gardens all over and beautiful church, one of the biggest I've visited made this one of our best self tours while in the capital city. Very colorful mountainside with springs, paths and natural minifalls. Keep well hydrated at...More

I wanted to visit this site as part of my visit. Our tour guide made this visit so interesting. There is the old basilica which is beautiful and yes, it is sloping which makes for a unique experience. We were able to visit all of...More

This site combines the soul with the pleasures of visual, historic and folclor experience. The difference between the old Basilica and the modern one is amazing but both are wonderful. We visited the place on Sunday during the great Ceremony and to see the tenths...More

The Basilica is modern, and has that particularly hideous architectural look form the 60s and 70's but once you get past the door you will only be thinking about the Guadalupe, her icon is there and it os so revered that they have an airport...More

As part of a day long tour, we stopped in at the Villa de Guadalupe to walk almost the entire plaza/area. We were able to see the buildings and especially the modern basilica/church. It was interesting to see and experience.

Even if you are not a Catholic, it is an amazing site to visit and learn the history of the appearance of the Virgen de Guadalupe. The place is huge and many histories surround it.

I call it the temple of love and adoration to our Lady of Guadalupe, La Virgencita de Guadalupe, the mother of all Mexicans. Google Her amazing story of the image that scientists admire and study.

They make it seen more than what it is. Its a normal place. Nothing beautiful there. I guess i was comparing it with the Spain Basilicas. NOTHING in common, not even close. I will not recommend to waste your time here

I thought that the basilica was going to be more impressive but on the contrary, it was simple but pretty. The outside is huge and to see the picture of the virgin you just go through a short line, pray or make a wish whatever...More

They have masses every day but not sure on Easter Sunday. Beware as the crowds will be huge.
