You will be amazed by the vast and well preserved collection. Although descriptions are in Spanish, the effort to excavate and piece back together these treasures is truly awesome! A must-see visit.

For anyone that wants an introduction to precolombina art, this is a very good museum. The explanations group pieces with similar characteristics (e.g. Period, location, theme) and let the viewer draw parallels.

This is a great museum. The artworks are well displayed. There are some English explanations altho the pieces pretty much speak for themselves. Not a huge display so probably only requires an hour to view. But well worth the time

This museum is not a historical trip, because it has been curated in terms of art values and special features that Rufino Tamayo liked. Each piece is awesome. The exhibitions in the courtyard are also very interesting and exciting

This was, in our opinion the best small exhibition space in the city and has an outstanding collection of pre-hispanic works. Everything is beautifully displayed in rooms of various colours and there is lots documentation on the works displayed. Rufino Tamayo had an excellent eye...More

The museum is relatively small, and will not exhaust you. Nevertheless, I encourage you to take your time visiting here. The Pre-Columbian exhibits are of excellent quality, and have very good descriptions in both English and Spanish. There are delightful figures of jaguars, coyotes, monkeys,...More
