I have been to many language schools over a 10 year period in Mexico, Guanajuato, San Cristobal..... When I arrived there was no one to greet us as there is no office. The environment in an open courtyard under an umbrella table with five other tables and students nearby was very distracting for me. The noise echos off of the... More

Tip #1 - Don't go to a Spanish Language School anywhere without at least a year of Spanish under your belt. Somehow, there are people who think that a month of "immersion" will make them fluent - wrong! Tip #2 - Four hours of Spanish a day is a lot. Try 3 hours to start off ( 2 hours of... More

I searched high and low and compared many schools online before deciding on Oaxaca International. At first I was nervous because there were no negative reviews what so ever and I thought that it would be too good to be true, haha. I took classes with them for 4 weeks and enjoyed each day. The teachers are all professional, intelligent,... More

My husband and I arrived in Oaxaca to brush up on our Spanish and live there for the month. This school came highly recommended. Ileana, the school administrator and owner, is so easy to work with. She set up an apartment for us and coordinated outstanding day trips. Our teachers were personable and creative with classes at no more than... More

I've just spent 4.5 weeks at the school whilst staying in a homestay. The school is excellent and can easily cater to anybody's level of Spanish. The teachers are enthusiastic and experienced and just lovely people. Ileana (manager) makes every effort to look after each individual student and is receptive to any questions or queries you have. She arranged two... More

I spent a week at Oaxaca International as a motivated, intermediate level Spanish student. I took the most intensive option - 6 hours of classes daily - as my goal was to improve as quickly as possible. I didn't do a home stay as I had arranged accommodation separately. Classes were very intimate - I was with one other student... More

I attended Oaxaca International for two weeks. I was in the advanced class which had three students and was taught by Juan. He was an excellent teacher - knowledgeable, patient and entertaining. We spent the majority of class time talking Spanish on a wide range of subjects. A big bonus was learning about current affairs in Mexico from Juan. The... More

If you're looking to improve your Spanish AND live the authentic Oaxaca experience, this is the place to go! The teachers are knowledgeable, friendly and patient and they clearly enjoy what they do. The school is small, clean and safe and the location is fantastic! With a maximum of 4 students per group, the classes are flexible, personalized and laid-back.... More

I was suppose to go to Guatemala for study but because the visa issue I stayed in Mexico instead, so I didn't really plan the school before. But I was quite surprised by how lovely and trustful the school is. I took private class for seven weeks, before that I barely spoke nothing, but I can fluently express my feelings,... More

We went to this s hool after we had visited first and met Leanne the owner of the school. It us a great place to be small classes. Up to 4 persons in the class.
