There are several nice examples of artesanal work here, including textiles, wood carving, and pottery, but it isn't a place to do real shopping, unless you don't have time to wander through the wide range of markets that Oaxaca is known for.

Practically every kind of artisan wares under one roof. All of high quality, and prices hardly higher and in some cases cheaper than the markets and street vendors. Look at your leisure with no pressure to buy. They accept major credit cards too.

A great place to see work of different artisans of Oaxaca. Casa de las artisans is place to learn and watch great masterpieces made by traditional Oaxaca artist.

Much chic-er and better edited options than all the usual touristy gift shops in Oaxaca. One-of-a-kind handicrafts in a beautiful building with a courtyard right in Oaxaca's historic downtown.

Do not moss this gem of a shop that sells local art, clothing and jewelry. Prices seemed very fair. No English spoken, but we figure out what we needed and bout several pieces of pottery and many other items to take home to family and friends. clothing prices seemed a bit high, but everything else seemed reasonable.

Amazing place: if you want to find the very best, this is your chance. From the cost, the central valley, from every point of the state, a very special selection of products handmade by the artisans of Oaxaca. And the neighborhood (Xochimilco) is wonderful to walk.

We were off exploring, walking when we found this place. We loved it. The layout is exceptional with all the various rooms surrounding the courtyard. The artisan work is very high quality and reasonably priced. We ended up making purchases because they were so fairly priced but it was worthwhile just to see the beautiful artisan work. We made a... We loved this store, is like a cooperative and you can find great artisanal work for a fair price! Another plus, they take credit card, something that a lot of places in town do not.
