Very nice museum well worth the $40 Pesos entry fee. A tribute to Spratling who ment so much to Taxco and the people who live here. Modern displays of photographs, artifacts, and silver pieces. Mostly in Spanish only.

Behind the Parroquia. Inconspicuous, but well worth the 40 pesos. Good sample of Spratling's work and his history. However signage is in Spanish only.

Guillermo Spratling did much to develop the art and commerce of silver in Taxco, and many of his original designs are displayed here. The museum is well-organized and very impressive. Go there.

Nice little museum dedicated to Guillermo Spratling, a New Yorker who came to Taxco in the 1930s and started the modern silver jewelry tradition here. Looking at some of his own silver designs, you see how great the silver was back in the day and see how not so great it is now, in comparison. There are also some pre-Columbian... More

When in Taxco go by this museum. It will give you a great deal of background on how Taxco became world renowned for its silversmithing. Informative and fun.

Actually we didn't see much of the museo. Each time we tried to go it was closed. Then when we finally went past and the doors were open, we went in and were told there were only 20 minutes before it closed. We asked if we could take a quick look as we were leaving the next morning. The woman... More

Well laid out and interesting, gives one a hint of how silver and jewelry came together in Taxco. Interesting exhibits and artifacts that tell their own history and translates into what is being produced in present day. Places to sit and a good restroom are a bonus in this museum!
