One of Mexico's great national museums and not to be missed. Quite a lot of bilingual signs, but the more you know about Mexican history the more you will get from your visit.

It is one of the places in Veracruz that you have to visit. All exhibitions are good planned, interesting, have good and clear explanations. This museum has air conditioning so it will be really pleasant to spend time there.

The displays and building are well maintained. The interior of the building is comfortably air-conditioned. You'll get more from the experience if you can read Spanish, but you will still enjoy the museum if you do not.

At first we went to the Faro (lighthouse) just off the malecon, but was told it was not the Naval Museum, but just offices, although I believe it used to be the museum. The sailors on guard at the Faro were very nice and helpful...More
