The Malecon is a great place to people watch and soak in the local music and culture which is unique to Veracruz. There are a multitude of restaurants and coffee shops with sidewalk café style seating. The adjacent park offers a different type of band or other entertainment every night of the week. The setting is very colorful and rich... More

I had the chance to take a walk through the neighborhood at night, there was many people in the streets, many dinning options, local music, and the most curious: Boys diving from the docks to look for a coin that you throw. (WOW) At night. (WOW) Not sure it's safe for them (they are just teenagers), and that's why I... More

You have to go. You will walk by the Malecon because it is right in the center of everything. The shops are staffed by locals selling the typical tourist stuff. Always fun to look.

A very nice place for an evening stroll. Stay away from the edge of the pier though if you are not a swimmer.

Beautiful view! Very peaceful. It's a Thursday and it's not much action; according to locals the weekend is when there is more sidewalks vendors. Because it's by the beach it can get cold, specially in the late afternoon to evening (bring a light sweater). You will encounter a few young man who will ask for your loose change and ask... More

The Malecon is very pretty, mostly a historical Boardwalk. Don't get me wrong it is a must see but does not compare to the other things Veracruz has to offer.

It is entertaining to visit. With all the market shops and the view of the ships. This is good when military ships dock.

This is a very wide sidewalk banked by water on one side and restaurants, hotels and shops on the other. At one end are numerous souvenir shops. Great place to visit on a nice day.

Thank Ana C
