We had our own car and drove along the coast, stopping to take pictures whenever we wanted to. This helped us to avoid the crowds. We arrived at the park around 10:30 AM and found that it wasn't very crowded. The view from the lighthouse is stunning. The beaches are beautiful. One of the nicest things about this day trip... Good spot to visit for nature lovers. Stunning views of the island and ocean from the top of the lighthouse make for awesome pictures and selfies. Nice little shops with legit black coral artisan goods. Worth the visit.

This is a beautiful place to visit and a wonderful experience. We climbed the stairs all the way to the top of the light house. We love the beautiful views from up there and we think it was a great experience. You are right there at the end of the island where you can see everything around it.The stairs are really narrow... We arrived here and our driver introduced us to this fellow guide he knew that works at Punta Sur. He asked us if we wanted to go on a tour. Of course we said yes! After making sure we had suitable shoes (no flip-flops), we headed on a journey into the park off the side of the road. We saw... More

The visit to this place was amazing. It is a place for nature lovers and calm and collected adults. The climbing of the light house is not for everyone but if they don't want to climb it they can wait in a comfortable hammock. The turtles and lizards and other fauna is worth watching.

The lighthouse is open to all with your park admission. We tip the staff, though, just so they help to keep the merchants away from us in their shacks just across from the lighthouse. It doesn't always work, but they try. The staff works hard to keep this place nice and trash-free. Please take your trash with you! There's enough... More

The views from almost everywhere you go in this park are amazing! All of the staff we encountered were very warm and helpful and they spoke great English. You can spend a whole day here and not get bored. It wasn't crowded at all, and we felt very safe leaving our car parked here. This is a bright spot on... More

On previous visits, we saw many salt water crocs, but they are working on the walkways over the lagoons, so the crocs are scarce right now. Otherwise, this is a great place to visit. You can see the lighthouse, drive up to a really nice beach with a bar and food, and see the lagoons.

A visit to Cozumel should include a visit to Faro Celerain Ecological Reserve, the largest on the island. Located at Punta Sur, there is a lighthouse, museum, rest area with hammocks, bar, souvenir shops, incredible surf and a lovely coastal breeze. We were in a group tour that did not include a visit to the mangroves, lagoons and reef systems... More
