Went here for sunset drinks and for good access to the beach.

A favorite of ours and usually not too crowded. Go for sunset or earlier in the day to snorkel. Food is reasonable.

This was my first at Playa Corona but won't be my last. Staff was really nice, prices good. Walk in ocean access, snorkeling pretty good.

This is fantastic for light snorkeling. They have food and alcohol, but that's not the main selling point. This is a quiet, not-busy area with fairly minimal amenities, this is not a resort. There is no pool. It is, however, beautiful and you can see a forest of sea fans, live coral, parrot fish, butterfly fish, longspine squirrelfish, Damselfish, tangs,... More

I am not rating this place based on the food but on the location and the snorkeling. The owner was really friendly and accommodating. We accessed the reef via his restaurant on the beach and it was amazing. The water was very calm compared to the rest of the beaches we had driving by and played in earlier. The place... More

This place is awesome for walk in snorkeling. We saw a large variety of fish just steps away from the entry to the water. Quiet food and drinks are good. Staff was very nice. Had a lot of fun here.

I had found this place online, reading about it being quiet was the selling point. We got a taxi for 120/140 pesos and stayed for a few hours, drinking a couple of beers each. The drinks weren't too pricey but the food was more than anywhere else we had been so we went back to town for food. Was a... More

This is where we went today. Took the ferry over to Cozumel from Playa del Carmen and it bucked like a wild stallion. ($15 roundtrip, 35 min, Mexico ferry) I enjoyed it, but others with plastic bags didn't. It was overcast with strong winds, but thankfully the current carried you toward shore. This place was amazing, but not fancy. They... More

While in Cozumel during a cruise, we decided to stop at Playa Corona to do some snorkeling. We chose this place because we didn't want to pay the high resort fees just to go snorkel for a couple of hours. We ordered some Pina Colodas and tacos and both of them were delicious. A little expensive I felt but indeed... More

This is an awesome spot to stop on the beach, relax, and cool off. They have a full bar, food, snorkeling gear, hammocks, palapas, shower, and you can even get a massage on the beach. They don't charge to sit there (or use a hammock), as long as you buy something to eat or drink or rent gear. The waiter... More

This great little spot has a walk-in beach with very good snorkeling...especially for beginners. They offer equipment rental $12/ There is a cafe/bar with tables covered by tiki huts on the sandy part of the beach. It costs $12-13 for a taxi one-way. The waiter will call a taxi for you when you are ready to leave. They now have... More
