This is our 2nd tour with Cozumel Chef. Last year we took the Playa del Carmen tour, and this year we did the Cozumel tour. Both were outstanding. These tours are so different than the usual offerings, with expert local guides. Jerry was our guide in Cozumel and he was terrific. He took us to some fabulous local places, provided... More

Definitely recommend booking Cozumel Chef Food Tours. Gerry, our guide, was pleasant, funny and very educational. We have been to the island many times and he brought us to the off the beaten path to authentic restaurants and tried drinks/food we have not tried.

We've been to Cozumel several times on a cruise and this was, by far the best tour we have ever taken. As others have said, the food stops were great little mom and pop places that were refreshingly non touristy". The food was fresh, authentic and delicious. The guide, Gerry, was friendly, knowledgable and very attentive to our interests and... More

Tour was better run in every aspect than any sponsored by our cruise line (Oceania). Price:Value ratio is super high, esp when you consider that you will be experiencing little mom & pop eateries that are off the tourist trails. We sampled a wide variety of food & drink and had the best fried fish and the best ceviche ever... More

We met Geri, who was to be our food tour guide for the day. He and the driver of the van (forgot his name) were great to be with. Geri took us to some awesome places where we were able to sample local foods. This was not tex-mex food but authentic Yucataian food. We were in a traditional neighborhood where... More

My husband and I spent 3 fantastic hours learning how to cook Mayan food. We took a trip to the local market for fresh ingredients & really enjoyed helping make a fantastic meal! Chef Luis even remembered my birthday & had a piece of cake prepared for me! It was such a fantastic day! I highly recommended it!!

OK - Been here, done most of that when it comes to Cozumel. Add to that some mobility challenges this year and we were looking for something different - and are so glad we found the Cozumel Chef Food Tours. Each stop was unique and delicious. Gerry, our guide, was informative and accommodating (I was not the only one on... More

Instead of learning about Cozumel/Mexico through museums and exhibits, this tour allows you to learn through food and conversation with our guide (forgot his name but he was super) and the local people to whom he introduced us as we did a round-robin of six courses of a "lunch". Not Tex-Mex but seemingly "real" local food, some of which was... More

Expecting Tex - Mex, which I hate, this was a very pleasant surprise. Light, fresh, local region flavours and dishes, all explained and presented well by Gerry (and driver Flavio). The 4 local restaurants chosen and the bakery, provided an appropriately paced tour for foodies. The meeting point in Mega shopping mall goes past the eating places on the main... More
