Chill tour, lots to learn
Jun 2021
very chill, relaxed. Laura, Isabel, and the whole team are great people. Laura did a phenomenal job explaining the world of oysters and pearls. For food, they accommodated my vegan diet with the meal, and it was delicious! The snorkeling portion was simply unforgettable as well...beautiful purple coral...plus getting to see the projects they were working on under water. This was really an incredible experience! The boat ride to and from the marina is also very relaxing, and we got lucky enough to see dolphins. :) Laura's passion for conservation and sustainability is contagious...let her inspire you :)

Remote beautiful part of the island, unique experience, wonderful host!
Apr 2021
What a great experience! Very unique! Isabelle was excellent from our first communication up until the day we arrived. It was just our party of 3 that day and we had this beautiful remote area all to ourselves. It feels like you are on a deserted island even though you are at the end of the island on Cozumel. No one around, no traffic and absolutely gorgeous!

The trip starts out with a boat ride on the La Ostra (Oyster) and our first stop was to see a half submerged shipwreck (Catch the Wave). Then on to this remote part of the island. Although the palapa is distressed from the hurricane, it is so very pretty still and nicely decorated with conch shells that people have decorated with their names and placed for others to see when they visit. Of course we made our special shell as well.

Isabelle gave a history of the pearl farm, all of their struggles, types of pearls: colors/sizes, and how they farm. Then on to the lab for us to see where they cultivate their pearls. Isabelle is very passionate about her family business and very knowledgeable.

When class was done, they provided us with snacks: fruits and cookies and plenty of drinks. Then it was off to do some speed snorkeling around the farm. We snorkeled over the Guadalupe statue and over to the farm, being pulled by the boat, and over a gigantic reef "ball" filled with sea fans. We were able to stay in the area for quite some time and we even talked Isabell into going back to the statue to take a few pictures of our daughter by it.

When we returned, lunch was ready for us and we let our daughter create her shell to be placed with the rest. We were then able to spend some time on the beach then when we were ready, they took us back to the dock. Isabelle even took pictures of us and sent them to us.

We had an AMAZING time and such a unique experience. The place is just gorgeous and Isabelle is simply amazing! I highly recommend spending a day here!

The reason we travel
Jun 2021 • Family
When we travel, the best experiences are those that are a bit off the beaten path where you feel less like a tourist and more like a true traveler. The differences are subtle but make a big difference. As a tourist you expect to be catered to. As a world traveler you open your eyes to the world around you. Isabel and her team at the pearl farm treat their visitors as guests of the family, not tourists. They bare their soul to demonstrate the toil and heartache they have been through in the business of pearl farming. You will learn about how pearls are farmed, how devastating hurricanes can be, and the resilience of the human spirit. This is a beautiful place, these are incredible people, and we had a wonderful day. We could have spent the day on a commercial tour following the masses but I am so glad we did not. We left feeling more educated, experienced, and made new friends exactly as travel should. I highly recommend visiting and supporting the Cozumel Pearl Farm.

An unforgettable experience
May 2021 • Friends
amazing experience! We arrived as a couple on a honeymoon, left the marina by boat and reached a dream island. There the amazing Isabel explained to us about her and her family's pearl farm. The boat took us to see the farm through snorkeling and of course there were amazing reefs in their beauty. During the day there were snacks, soft drinks and beer and finally lunch. There are no words to explain the magical day we had. Thank you to Isabel and the amazing staff for an unforgettable experience.

Amazing day at the Cozumel Pearl Farm
May 2021
It is going to take a lot to find a better tour to go on. Isabel is amazing and the tour is a must do in Cozumel. I found out about the Farm from an email from TripAdvisor about things I may enjoy in Cozumel and they were right on!!!! My wife and I spent the day at the farm and it was amazing!!!! The views, the interesting history and story of the farm, the beautiful waters and amazing hamburgers are just a few things about this awesome trip. If you are even considering this book and, you won't regret it any time soon, its a day well spent!!!

Do not hesitate - book your excursion - you won't regret it!

This was by far our favorite outing in Cozumel! Isabel is very easy to work and communicate with. She is so welcoming and engaging to listen to. Isabel also takes and shares photos of your group. This was so sweet and unexpected. As the family photographer, I am never in any vacation pics. Then, there is the beach!!!!! It is STUNNING!!! Speed snorkeling was a huge hit with us too. Lunch was delicious. I cannot recommend this trip enough. :)

A perfect outing. Stunning water on the boat ride, interesting science of pearl farming, relaxing beach walk, DELICIOUS LUNCH, fun conversation and in a place so beautiful I didn’t want to leave. Not a commercial tour; real people having fun and sharing their life’s work!
