Spent the day here while cruise was in port. Quieter beach, away from most crowds. $25 US cab fare from port. Great staff, pleasant, professional and polite. They work very hard to make sure you have a good time. Food was good, margaritas were the real deal and were great. Prices for food and drink were good. Beach loungers and... More

We were lucky to find a taxi driver who took us there at an acceptable price: All beach clubs around the Cozumel cruise terminal and around the main village are too crowded ans expensive so it is worth taking a taxi to drive down to Playa Palancar and its beach club by the sam name. You can wander along the... More

We took a taxi to this private beach/bar/restaurant for a quiet "excursion" from our busy cruise ship. What a nice surprise… lots of menu choices and VERY nice people.

The surf can be a bit rough for swimming, but very beautiful views and the occasional crocodile in the mangroves if you're lucky. There are some nice roadside eateries and bars in this area with great drinks at VERY good prices.

The dive shop I used, stopped here every day for our surface interval. Since I wasn't here to use the beach, swim or consume alcohol, I will limit my review to the food and the waiters. For the most part, the food was good. Was not here for big lunch, just a snack between dives. So I and others in... More

We arrived about 10:30 and we had our pick of seats. We enjoyed the sun and the beautiful waters. The calm ocean water was great for bobbing around, talking and having a good time. Drinks were good and we had a tasty light lunch. The attendants were available, but not overly attentive. Great time had by all!

It was very windy on the day I was there, so the snorkeling was not that great. Food was good and staff were incredibly friendly.

The beach and the beach club are great. The fish tacos are delicious. The sandy beach is perfect for a swim. Great place for a short or long stop.

I've been to Cozumel several times while in port from a cruise and always enjoy a day at Playa Palancar. It's laid back atmosphere is a refreshing change from the crowds onboard the ship and in town and other places. The beach is sandy and generally clean. There are a few rocky spots out in the water which make for... More

We arrived in Cozumel on a NCL Epic cruise and didn't want to pay for an excursion from NCL, so we chose to get a taxi to this public beach which is not too far from the port. The beach was rather disappointing being littered with sea weed. I know that is normal for a beach but this is a... More
