A beautiful day in coUmel

Can't beat the price! $15 for beach free drink snorkelling and kayaking. Chaise lounges and umbrellas too. Not the most beautiful beach but sandy enough for a young family... read more

We recently visited here during a cruise. We chose to find a street vendor for suggestions on where to go. We found a good guy that shared great info on several beach locations. We bought it from him for $17 each plus a $20 cab fee. It included all snorkel gear, a free kayak, a free drink each and chairs... More

I took this excursion from our cruise while my husband went diving. I did feel safe in our group, which was a concern for me being by myself. It is very well organized. I met Pedro at the port and he got everyone checked in and then gave us very clear instructions on what we would expect to happen. He... More

Even with sandals or beach shoes, trying to swim is not pleasant. Getting into the water is very uneven. The relatively expensive food was acceptable.

We admittedly did not do our homework before landing in Cozumel, one of our shortest stops of our cruise. And our group couldn't agree on what to do and where to go. We ended up going to Playa Uvas. Should've gone to Rasta's. Pros: close to cruise terminal, cheap cab ride $28 each way for a group of 6. Drinks... More

Playas Uvas is around 7 mins cab ride costing $12 for 2 people. $15/person to enter and this includes a drink + snorkeling equipment + chair/table + shower + toilet + towel. Very nice place, safe, absolutely beautiful fish to view while snorkeling. Lots of different colored fish different sizes!!! Very clear water. Difficult to get in and out of... More

I would say that this was a "good" day not over the top but good. The guides were nice and very helpful but it was slow the day we were there so we felt like we were just sitting waiting to leave after our snorkel but if your looking for a day to snorkel & kayak this is just that... More

Purchased access and open bar. Drinks plentiful. Some padded loungers and some not. Umbrellas. Beach is rocky but there is one access location with a minimum of rocks. Little vendor huts, massages and a restaurant with bar. Very pleasant afternoon.

In the past, we've had a shady experience with Carnival's excursions. This one was a lot less expensive than what they normally offer. You have a four hour excursion that includes shopping in a flea market type environment for trinkets and a 1.5 stay at the beach. Playa Uvas is the beach that is included in this excursion. Beautiful water... More

Our cruise ship arrived for an overnight at 2 p.m., and upon asking for a beach with a bar and wifi, we got hooked into buying sight unseen a taxi ride and paying resort fees to Uvas Resort. The wifi was marginal. The beach was rocky. But just as I was enjoying being in the water, we got notice the... More
